Add Organization Entity

1. About feature

The Add Organization Entity is a feature in VisionSync that allows you to add a new organization entity (ex - department, unit, sub-unit etc.) within the editing organizational structure.

2. Screen explanation

The “Add Organization” window contains the following elements.

a. Level Name (Required): This field requires the name of the level in the organization hierarchy. Example - Under your organization there are departments so the department could be a level name. In that same way, under a department, there could be units subunits, and so on.

b. Entity Name (Required): This field requires the name of the organization entity.

c. Description: This field requires the description of the organization entity. This is an optional field.

d. View Button: This button allows the user to view/edit the statements (ex - mission, vision, value) of the organization entity.

e. Save & Create Button: This button allows the user to save the organization entity details.

3. How to perform this feature/functionality?

a. Log in to your VisionSync account using your credentials.

b. Click on the "Organization" button from the Left-Side Navigation Bar.

c. You will be navigated to the “Organization Details” page that lists the organizational structure of your organization. If this is the first time you will see only one entity in your organization structure that is the name of the organization.

d. Click on the "Add Entity" button against the organization entity for which you want to create the sub-organization or sub-entity. It will open a pop-up window.

e. Enter the required information for the new organization in the form that appears, including the level name, organization entity name, and description.

f. Click on the "Save and Create" button to add the new entity to your account.

4. Expected Result

After following the above steps, you should be able to save and view the new organization entity on your Organization Details page.

5. Dependency or Restriction

a. The organization entity can be added by the users who have permission. However, all users should be able to view the entities.
