Set Default Organization Entity
1. About Feature
The Set Default Organization Entity feature allows users to choose which organization entity VisionSync should preselect automatically whenever they navigate across the platform.
This is especially helpful for users who belong to or collaborate with multiple organization entities. Once a default entity is set:
VisionSync automatically loads that entity in all relevant screens.
Entity selectors throughout the system will pre-fill with the chosen entity.
The user no longer needs to repeatedly switch entities manually.
If no default organization entity is set, VisionSync will automatically preselect the topmost organization entity by default.
2. Screen Explanation
The Profile Settings / Account Details page (accessible under Settings) contains the following elements:
a. Profile Picture Allows uploading or updating your profile photo. File type and size restrictions are displayed on-screen.
b. First Name (Required) Field to edit your first name.
c. Last Name (Required) Field to edit your last name.
d. Job Title (Optional) Field to specify your job title.
e. Work Phone (Optional) Field to update your work phone number.
f. Set Default Organization Entity (Dropdown) A dropdown listing all organization entities the user has access to. Selecting one sets it as the user's default entity across VisionSync.
g. Save and Update Button Saves all profile changes, including the selected default organization entity.
3. How to Perform This Feature / Functionality
a. Log in to your VisionSync account.
b. From the left navigation panel, click Settings.
c. Under the Personal Account accordion, select Account Details.
d. Scroll to the Set Default Organization Entity dropdown.
e. Choose the organization entity you want to set as your default.
f. Click Save and Update to apply the change.
g. You will see a success notification confirming that the default organization entity has been updated.
h. After setting the default entity:
It will automatically populate on all screens where entity selection is required.
You may still manually switch to another entity at any time using the entity dropdown on relevant screens.
i. If you do not set a default entity:
VisionSync automatically uses the topmost entity in the hierarchy as your default.
4. Expected Result
Once the default organization entity is saved:
VisionSync automatically selects this entity on all applicable screens.
All plan-related, user-related, and reporting screens load data for this entity by default.
You no longer need to manually switch entities unless you intentionally want to work on a different one.
