Un-assign Organization Entity

1. About feature

The VisionSync platform allows users to un-assign organization entities from a strategic plan when they are no longer relevant or necessary. This feature ensures that the strategic plan remains up-to-date with the latest changes in the organizational structure and helps to maintain its accuracy.

2. Screen explanation

The “Assign Organization Entities” window contains the following elements.

a. Organization Entity List: This section displays the list of organization entities that have been created in the VisionSync account. The check box next to the organization entity identifies if the entity is assigned to a strategic plan or not.

b. Back Button: This button allows the user to go back to the previous page.

c. Save & Submit Button: This button allows the user to save the assignments.

3. How to perform this feature/functionality?

a. Log in to your VisionSync account using your credentials.

b. From the Top-Navigation Bar, select "Strategic Plan".

c. The Strategic Plan screen will open, displaying a list of all the strategic plans created within your organization.

d. To view assigned organization entities against a strategic plan, click on “Assign” from the menu dropdown against the strategic plan.

e. A hierarchical list of the organization entities will appear in a new window. The check boxes next to each item in the list show the assignment status.

f. To un-assign an organization entity to a strategic plan, make sure to uncheck the checkbox against that entity.

g. Click on the “Save & Submit” button to un-assign the organization entity to the strategic plan.

4. Expected Result

After un-assigning an organization entity from a strategic plan, the organization entity will no longer be associated with that strategic plan. The organization entity will no longer participate in the execution of that strategic plan.

5. Dependency or Restriction

a. The strategic plan assignment/in-assignment option will only be visible to administrators and whosoever has permission to add/edit the strategic plan.

b. When an organization entity is unassigned from a strategic plan its associated data is not removed from the strategic plan. That organization entity can no longer participate in the strategic plan from that time forward.
