Organization Entity List
1. About feature
The Organization Entity List is a feature in VisionSync that allows users to view and manage the list of entities (ex - department, unit, sub-unit, etc.) within your organization’s VisionSync account. This feature is useful for viewing the organization structure. This organizational structure is based on the hierarchy, functions, divisions, geographical locations, or team.
2. Screen explanation
The “Organization Details” screen contains the following elements.
a. Organization Entity List: This section displays a list of all the entities (ex - department, unit, sub-unit etc.) within your organization. It is a tree structure where you can go down the level in a tree by clicking the “Open” icon on the right.
b. Add Entity Button: This button allows you to add a new child organization entity to any existing organization entity.
c. Edit Entity Button: This button allows you to edit the information for a specific organization entity.
d. Edit Statement Button: This button allows you to add/edit the statements (mission, vision, and values) for a specific organization entity. This button will only be visible to the child organization entities if the feature is turned on.
e. Progress: This is just a cue for the users to see the progress of the organization entity across several strategic plans. It displays the completed/ total count of strategic action items (initiatives).
3. How to perform this feature/functionality?
a. Log in to your VisionSync account using your credentials.
b. Click on the "Organization" button from the Top-Navigation Bar.
c. You will see the organization name as the top level under the organization entity list. Everything falls under the organization and this node is created by default when onboarding is completed.
d. To add a new entity, click on the "Add Entity" button next to the organization entity and fill out the required fields in the form that appears.
e. To edit an existing entity, click on the "Edit" button next to the organization entity you want to modify and update the necessary fields.
f. To add/edit the statements (mission, vision, value) of the organization entity click on “Edit Statements” next to the organization entity. This button will only be visible to the child organization entities if the feature is turned on.
4. Expected Result
After using the Organization Entity List feature in VisionSync, you should be able to view a complete list of all the entities (ex - department, unit, sub-unit, etc.) within your organization’s account, manage the information for each organization entity as necessary, and keep your records up-to-date.
5. Dependency or Restriction
a. The “Edit Statements” button will only be visible to the child organization entities if the feature is turned on by the administrators.
